US needs income mobility to improve. Well, there is more now. Problem is that we are seeing income mobility in a down ward direction if you know what we mean. There are few jobs with high pay. Most of those are being out source to countries with low wages. Politicians are good at making promises. However they never deliver on em. Citizens need more money. Instead we get more taxes - yes sure.
